Friday, March 17, 2023 – Below is a post by Simon Mwangi Muthiora, the blogger who blew cover on Jeff Mwathi’s death, asking hard questions even as investigations continue.
There was a commotion in the bedroom where Jeff was locked with three men, as reported by Mutanu and the third girl. Did Jeff fight back? Yes. However, it is unclear to what extent he fought back and the injuries he sustained before he was subdued and immobilized for the fall. DCI Kasarani, a seasoned detective, should have physically examined the suspects for injuries, lacerations on their face, hands, knuckles, and more.
It is clear from the “murder weapon” that Jeff must have struggled. Did DCI Kasarani collect DNA samples from under his fingernails? It is likely that he put up a fight, and in the process, DNA from his attackers could have been scooped from their bodies. Assuming he was sexually molested, did DCI Kasarani conduct a proper investigation to establish the reason for Jeff’s pants being down?
Additionally, besides finding semen, did they look for the presence of genital warts that are very common in adult men? It is worth noting that many people carry this virus undetected for their entire life.
Genital warts or genital rice can be transferred during rape and sodomy. Did DCI Kasarani examine the bathrooms in the building for the presence of these rice on bathing towels or elsewhere to establish this? Finding these rice on the victim and suspects would have been damning evidence.
Furthermore, the sink basins and their traps should have been examined. If Jeff was heavily injured and hemorrhaging in the house, the suspects would have had to clean up before refusing to open the door for the management. These traps can store blood residue for weeks. Did Kasarani investigate these traps? No, why not? Perhaps a cover-up?
In my opinion, the DJ came back to the house after they notified him that the situation was under control. The triangulation of phones could prove this.
According to the autopsy report, Jeff was alive when he hit the ground. He could have been half-dead, which means his heart was beating, but he was unconscious. Did DCI Kasarani take fingerprints from the said window? Did they notice that the window grills were interfered with? What was their conclusion? Did Jeff manage to squeeze himself out of the window, fix it before jumping to his death?
Finally, we turn to phone records. Regardless, justice for Jeff must be served
