Wednesday, March 1, 2023 – Renowned Citizen TV’s senior reporter, Francis Gachuri, has resigned from Royal Media Services (RMS) to take the new role he has been appointed in President William Ruto’s government.
On Wednesday, Gachuri was appointed as Head of communications in the Interior and national coordination Ministry.
Impeccable sources at Citizen TV and Inooro Tv stated Gachuri bid his colleagues goodbye as he prepared to take the new job in the Prof. Kithure Kindiki-led ministry.
In his new role, Gachuri will be responsible for creating, delivering and evaluating communication activities that lead to the effective positioning and promotion of trust within the Ministry.
He will also manage all internal and external communications channels within the Ministry of Interior and National Coordination.
Gachuri served in various capacities at Citizen TV, including as a senior political reporter, editor, and commentator on the News Gang programme.
At Inooro TV, Gachuri also worked as a news presenter, where he hosted a programme known as Kiririmbi that broadcasted between 8 pm and 9 pm.
