Monday, March 14, 2022 – ANC leader, Musalia Mudavadi, has taken a swipe at President Uhuru Kenyatta for promising Kenyans jobs in the Government that will be formed after the August 9th General Elections.

Speaking on Sunday during a Kenya Kwanza rally at Thika Stadium in Kiambu County, Mudavadi wondered how the ODM leader, Raila Odinga, will provide employment opportunities while President Uhuru Kenyatta had failed in the nine years he has been in power.

The Kenya Kwanza co-principal said it was ironic for the Head of State to promise Kenyans jobs in the Government he is unsure will be formed by his handshake partner, Raila Odinga.“Ndugu na dada, la kushanganza ni hili… katika kipindi cha lala salama cha serikali ya Uhuru amebaki na miezi michache na sasa yeye ndiye anaahidi watu kazi kwa ile serikali ambayo itakuja. Jameni mumewahi kuona hayo?”

“Brothers and sisters, the most shocking thing is that President Uhuru Kenyatta who has only a few months left is the one promising Kenyans jobs for the government that is to come. Have you ever seen that?”

Speaking on Saturday, President Uhuru Kenyatta exuded confidence that the former Prime Minister will bring on board all Kenyans to build a better nation.

The Head of State further assured all those who have shelved their presidential ambitions in favour of the opposition chief and said they will all be catered for in the Government that will be formed.

“I am sure that once he (Raila Odinga) takes over, he will not leave his brothers and sisters behind,”

“We have no doubt that we have a team leader in the name of Raila Amollo Odinga and we have agreed that we will sit down with others to agree who will join him in the next Government,” Uhuru said.
