Wednesday, March 9, 2022 – It is no longer a secret that United Democratic Alliance (UDA) is the most sought party in the country ahead of the August 9th presidential election.

The Deputy President William Ruto-led party has attracted thousands of candidates who have already paid their nominations fees in readiness for August polls.

According to one of the local dailies, the UDA party has made over Sh 350 million since the nomination process began.

Those seeking gubernatorial posts brought Sh 27 million, while senatorial aspirants cumulatively brought in Sh 16 million. To be nominated for the senator position, men were charged Sh250, 000 while women and youth parted with Sh125, 000.

Those seeking parliamentary seats on the party’s ticket paid a total of Sh 145 million, while Member of County Assembly aspirants brought in Sh158 million. MCA aspirants were charged Sh50,000 and Sh25,000 for the women and youth.

This a clear indication that the majority of Kenyans are supporting the UDA party, which according to the latest opinion poll is the most popular party in the country.
