Friday, March 11, 2022 – Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has apologized to Kenyans over the disparaging remarks he made in Wajir County on Wednesday while drumming up support for his presidential bid.
Raila, who was accompanied by the Azimio La Umoja Movement team, asked Wajir County residents to vote in 6-piece in August.
“We want all of the Wajir candidates to be from the Azimio la Umoja movement. We’d like to make this an Azimio zone. No ‘ Madoadoa’ shall be welcomed in Wajir,” Raila said.
Raila Odinga’s choice of words has already landed him in hot soup after being summoned by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC).
But speaking in Kisumu county on Friday, Raila Odinga apologised to Kenyans over the remarks, saying his statement was taken out of context.
