Thursday, March 10, 2022 – Businessman-cum politician, Jimi Wanjigi, has hinted at joining Deputy President William Ruto, following his fallout with ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking during an interview yesterday, Wanjigi noted that it was too early to rule out a possibility of him working with DP Ruto.
However, he made it clear that he was open to working with the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) if Ruto is willing to support his candidature for the presidency come August.
“I am open to working with anybody, save for those who chase me away. So if Deputy President Ruto is coming to support my candidature, then why not?” Wanjigi posed.
Wanjigi pointed out that he was willing to work with Ruto if the country’s Second in Command had policies and ideas that would benefit the people of Kenya.
Nonetheless, he expressed confidence that he was the best candidate for the seat.
“See, how we come together is on the basis of what we can do for this nation, the ideas and having an understanding of where we are as a country,” Wanjigi remarked.
When asked about working with Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, the presidential hopeful stated that he would be more than pleased, adding that he was a man who always kept his word.
“I would love to work with Kalonzo. I have known him for a long time, he is a man who stands by word and means what he says and he has the best interests at heart.
