Wednesday, March 9, 2022 – An opinion poll conducted by Mizani Africa has revealed the Nakuru County gubernatorial aspirant who may become the governor of the busy metropolis.
The survey which was made public on Wednesday showed that if elections are held today, United Democratic Movement candidate, Susan Kihika will emerge the winner with 40.2 percent of total votes cast.
Kihika will be followed by the incumbent governor Lee Kinyanjui, who according to the pollster, will get 33.4 percent.
Hon. Stanley Karanja emerged third at 13.3 percent. Lee Kinyanjui, who will vie on an Ubuntu People’s Forum’s ticket, will first face-off with Karanja of Jubilee in the Azimio La Umoja Movement primaries.
Others included in the survey were former NACADA Chairman John Mututho (9.4%), Peter Koros (2.1%), and James Mungai (1.2%).
Kihika is a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto.
