Monday, March 14, 2022 – Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has once again sent shock waves in the Azimio La Umoja Movement team after he said he didn’t know what he signed when he joined former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s bandwagon on Saturday.
Kalonzo‘s Wiper Democratic Movement party was among over 20 parties that signed the agreement that saw the endorsement of Raila Odinga’s presidential bid in August.
President Uhuru Kenyatta graced the colourful ceremony at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).
Speaking on Monday, Kalonzo said the agreement they signed at KICC during the coronation of Raila Odinga was not smoothly done.
Kalonzo said there are doubts about the transparency of the process, stating that most of the parties were not aware of what they signed.
He revealed that during the meeting at the KICC, parties were hurriedly presented with two documents to sign.
“If I asked all those party secretary-generals present SGs what they affixed their signatures to, nobody knows,” Kalonzo said.
