Friday, March 11, 2022 – The management of Club Déjà Vu that is located in Westlands, Nairobi has issued a statement, following a viral CCTV footage that showed a man being beaten to death by rogue bouncers, on accusations that he had stolen a phone from a reveler.
The middle-aged man, identified as Charles Chege, was beaten for three hours after he was whisked away from the club and taken to a private room.
The rogue bouncers allegedly dumped the man in a nearby bush after beating him to death.
However, the club’s management has denied claims that the victim died within the club’s premises.
He was reportedly evacuated from the premises, only for his lifeless body to be found lying in a bush the following morning, just a few metres from the club.
Already, detectives have arrested the bouncers after an autopsy report revealed that the man died as a result of injuries inflicted on his body.
Below is a response from the club’s management on the incident.
