Wednesday, February 9, 2022 – Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has taken a swipe at President Uhuru Kenyatta for telling Deputy President William Ruto and his Tanga Tanga brigade to stop their rhetoric from car sunroofs.
According to Sudi, a fierce critic of the president, Uhuru would not have been the head of state if he did not stand on cars.
“Nimeona ule mtu ako na projects yake anasukuma na hataki kutoka kwa serikali, bado anataka ku hung hung around akisema eti kuna watu wanazunguka wakisimama juu ya gari.
“Ati kazi haifanywi juu ya gari.”
Loosely translated to, “I saw the man with his projects moving around and not wanting to leave the government, he still wants to hang around saying that people are walking around atop cars. That work is not done atop cars,” Sudi said.
“My message to the president. Heri mwenye anasimama juu ya gari ama mwenye anasimama juu ya Hennessy na Jack Daniels? Usituchokoze na tulikuwa tumenyamaza,” he said.
Speaking in Mombasa, Uhuru criticised Ruto for attacking state-owned development projects during their campaign rallies, saying ‘no work can be done standing on vehicles in meetings’.
“Stop the rhetoric from car sunroofs. You cannot talk when there is nothing that you have done. No work is done on top of vehicles. Work is done in hospitals, offices…” Uhuru said while addressing health issues in Mombasa.
