Thursday, February 3, 2022 – Renowned scholar and political columnist, Prof Makau Mutua, has revealed the powerful person who will put brakes on former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s unstoppable ambitions of becoming the fifth President of Kenya in August.
Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto are the two main contenders in the race to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in August.
Makau, who is also a distinguished professor of law at Buffalo Law School in New York, is one of the ardent supporters of former Premier, whom he terms a revolutionary, seasoned politician and a democratic.
However, according to a cartoon by renowned cartoonist Godfrey Mwampembwa, pen name Gado, Makau has silently sensed danger and predicted the man who will bury Raila’s hopes of becoming the commander in chief of Armed Forces.
In the hilarious cartoon, Makau is telling Raila that “my crystal ball foresees great danger, “
Makau goes ahead and shows Raila an effigy of DP Ruto.
