Thursday, February 10, 2022 – Ford Kenya Party Leader, Moses Wetangula, has accused COTU boss Francis Atwoli of being behind the recent mass exodus from his party and Musalia Mudavadi’s ANC.
Speaking during a Kenya Kwanza rally, Wetangula claimed that Atwoli masterminded the chaos and fallout witnessed in the two parties, leading to the mass exits.
According to Wetangula, Atwoli held meetings behind closed doors with some of the party members in Kisumu, resulting in the mass exodus witnessed in both Ford Kenya and ANC recently.
“All the disunity and wrangles witnessed in ANC and Ford Kenya have been organised here in Kisumu by the man who wears chains known as Atwoli,” remarked Wetangula.
He further called out Atwoli and ODM Leader Raila Odinga for working in cahoots to dent their political careers, following their exit from the NASA coalition and their subsequent alliance with Deputy President William Ruto.
In what Wetangula termed as blatant ingratitude by the Azimio la Umoja patriarch, he accused Odinga of resorting to bullying them because they formed a political pact with Ruto and not him.
“In 2013, I carried his cross for him. In 2013 and 2017, Musalia and I carried Raila Odinga’s cross.
“Now, those who we walked with earlier have no gratitude, now they want to disorient and bully us,” Wetangula stated.
The lawyer vowed that he and his ANC counterpart would stand firm in support of DP Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.
