Tuesday, January 25, 2022 – ANC Leader Musalia Mudavadi finally delivered the earthquake announcement that he had promised during the ANC National Delegates Convention that was held on Sunday at Bomas of Kenya.
However, the event was not without drama as Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka and his KANU counterpart, Gideon Moi, walked out on him after realizing that he had played them like fools.
This is after he secretly invited Deputy President William Ruto to grace his event without informing them.
According to sources, Mudavadi intentionally played Kalonzo and Gideon for fools as they had not agreed to work with Ruto as One Kenya Alliance (OKA).
According to the plan, Kalonzo and Gideon together with Moses Wetangula of Ford Kenya had converged at a hotel and agreed to ride in a convoy to the NDC to show solidarity with Mudavadi.
But mid-morning, they received disturbing news that MPs allied to Ruto were likely to attend the meeting.
Until then, the issue of Mudavadi working with Ruto had remained a rumour and he had kept his OKA co-principals in the dark about their underhand dealings with the DP.
And when Ruto himself arrived at the venue, Kalonzo and Gideon walked out in protest.
Efforts by Wetangula to convince them otherwise bore no fruits as they made it clear that they cannot work with Ruto.
