Saturday, January 22, 2022 – Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party Leader, Raila Odinga, has surpassed Deputy President William Ruto in terms of popularity ahead of the August poll, going by the latest opinion poll.

According to the opinion poll released by Mizani Africa yesterday, Raila Odinga would beat Deputy President William Ruto by double digits if the presidential election was held today.

ODM leader Raila Odinga has a popularity of 42.1%, followed closely by UDA candidate, Deputy President William Ruto at 31.1%.

Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi emerged third with 3.4 % while his OKA counterpart Kalonzo Musyoka had a 2.5% approval rating.

According to the findings, 3.4% of the respondents would vote for other candidates while 18.3% were yet to decide their preferred candidate. 

Mizani Africa had asked Nairobians who they will vote for as the fifth president of Kenya and the majority said it is Raila the fifth.

This comes even as Ruto had beaten Raila in the Radio Africa Group poll by 44.8% to 35.7% a week ago.
