Thursday, January 27, 2022 – Gatundu South Member of Parliament, Moses Kuria, has urged former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to retire from politics or be embarrassed at the ballot in August by Deputy President William Ruto.
Kuria, who was having an interview with one of the local dailies, acknowledged the pivotal role played by Odinga towards sustaining the democracy that revived the multiparty system in Kenya.
Kuria, however, insisted the old must now give space for fresh blood to manifest their leadership skills for the better future of this country.
He said Raila Odinga who has been in politics for over 40 years should retire with President Uhuru Kenyatta in August and pave the way for a new crop of leaders.
“The tremors in the country are part of a revolution marking thirty years of multiparty experiment, old orders must give ways to a new order, the gods have spoken…I advise my friend Raila Odinga to give way to this revolution and retire with grace alongside Uhuru Kenyatta…” Kuria said.
