Sunday, January 30, 2022 – With less than 7 months to the August 9th General Election, Deputy President William Ruto‘s political advisors are burning the midnight oil trying to come up with the best man or woman who will deputise him.
Ruto, 54, has been dangling the running mate carrot to politicians, sitting MPs, and governors, but he is yet to settle on one.
In an online opinion poll conducted by one of the local blogs, the majority of Kenyans want Narc Kenya chairperson, Martha Karua, to deputise DP Ruto in August.
The majority of the respondents argued that out of Alice Wahome, Rigathi Gachagua, Musalia Mudavadi, Ndindi Nyoro, Anne Waiguru and Susan Kihika, Karua was Ruto’s best bet as running mate.
“Martha Karua, though hiyo serikali watadungana vidole kwa macho, they both talk using their fingers,” Mercy Navalia commented.
Mwikali Esther said she would only register as a voter if Ruto settled on Karua. “If he names Martha Karua nachukua kura,“
Son Ole Pirias Maanta echoed Mwikali’s sentiments. “We called upon aka Iron lady Martha Karua she is a suitable material,”
