Friday, January 21, 2022 – Nakuru Governor, Lee Kinyanjui, has for the first time admitted that he tried to reconcile President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy, William Ruto, after their bitter fallout in 2018.

In an interview with K24 TV on Wednesday evening, Kinyanjui said when he began the reconciliation process, he began with President Uhuru Kenyatta who urged him to first move to DP Ruto’s side and start there.

“I really love peace. I went to President Uhuru Kenyatta first and told him my case.

“He told me I should go to DP Ruto’s side and tell them to stop insulting the President,” Kinyanjui said.

He added that when he went to DP Ruto’s side, the Tangatanga members agreed to never insult the President, but even before he could go back to report to the president, the Tangatanga leaders were already insulting the Head of State.

“So I went to DP Ruto’s camp and even before I could take their answer to the President, they are all over the social media insulting the Head of State.

“I saw how hard it is and I had to save myself first before doing the same for others,” Kinyanjui added.
