Tuesday June2, 2020 – Bungoma Senator, Moses Wetangula is no longer the Ford Kenya party leader going by what the Registrar of Political Parties, Anne Nderitu, said on Tuesday.
Addressing journalists, Nderitu said that she has received papers effecting the ouster of Moses Wetang’ula as Ford Kenya party leader.
According to Nderitu, the party’s Secretary-General Eseli Simiyu and the new party leader, Wafula Wamunyinyi, handed the papers to her thereby effecting the unceremonious ouster of Senator Moses Wetang’ula as Ford Kenya’s party leader.
Wetang’ula was accused of failing to be a symbol of unity in the party, failing to champion for the party’s campaign to win elections and interfering with the parties’ nomination of candidates in the 2017 General Elections.
The NEC also blamed the Senator of not providing inspiring leadership to the party and moral impropriety in the account of being adversely mentioned in the Sh 250 million Dubai gold saga in 2019.
