Friday June 5, 2020 – Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula has suffered a humiliating blow.
This is after the Registrar of Political Parties nullified his decision to suspend errand Ford Kenya MPs who participated in ousting him as the Party Leader.
In a preliminary ruling, Registrar Anne Nderitu declared that the party’s Parliamentary Group and National Executive Council that was chaired by Wetangula and suspended Ford Kenya Secretary General, Eseli Simiyu, and Kanduyi MP, Wafula Wamunyinyi, was not properly convened and lacked quorum.
She further noted that Wetangula and his team did not submit to her office the statutory form PP7 which is used to notify the Registrar of changes in the party officials.
The new development sends Wetangula back to the drawing board as he will have to call for another PG and NEC meetings to ratify the changes which is highly unlikely.
