Monday June 22, 2020 – Incoming National Assembly Majority Leader, Amos Kimunya, has praised the outgoing leader Aden Duale, terming him as a big asset to the country.
Speaking at KICC after he was pronounced the new Majority Leader following the ouster of Aden Duale, Kimunya vowed to borrow heavily from the Garissa Township MP in order to steer the country to greatness.
“I want to underscore and appreciate the dedicated service that honourable Duale rendered to this country in the last eight years.”
“He is still a big asset to this country and we will continue to use his expertise and his experience in harnessing the synergies of diversities of our thoughts and ideas for the greater good of this country,” stated Kimunya.
He noted that he has been in a similar position before as Deputy Leader of Government Business in the 10th Parliament and was up to the task.
“I have been in that position before as Deputy Leader of Government Business in the 10th parliament and I know what it means to be in the house every day,” he added.
The Kipipiri MP observed that he had spent a lot of time with Duale in the leadership of the house, having served in House Business Committee and lauded his commitment.
