Sunday June 6, 2020 – Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has accused former Kakamege Senator, Dr Boni Khalwale, of being behind yesterday’s chaos at the Kakamega Airstrip where Governor Wycliffe Oparanya and Devolution Cabinet Secretary, Eugene Wamalwa, were heckled and chased away by youths believed to be supporters of Deputy President William Ruto.
In a post from ODM’s Communication Director, Philip Etale, the party said Khalwale was once caught on camera bribing boda boda operators in the area with Sh 200 each to heckle leaders.
He may have done this again.
“My friend Bony Khalwale knows very well that Ulliam is not sellable in Luhyaland.”
“He is aware of the underlying issues that are unsolvable.”
“He spoke about me before joining him.”
“Paying boda boda riders Ksh. 200 each to heckle CS Eugene and Gvn Oparanya is hogwash,’” Etale said.
Wamalwa and Oparanya were forced to seek shelter in their cars after angry youths, who were chanting William Ruto’s name, heckled them.
“We want Ruto! We want Ruto,” the rowdy crowd chanted.
