Tuesday, June 9, 2020 – Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader, Raila Odinga, has dismissed claims that his party is plotting to cause leadership turmoil in Musalia Mudavadi’s ANC party.
Through ODM Secretary General, Edwin Sifuna, the Orange Party said that it has no reason to stage a coup against Mudavadi, who he said is already on a mode of self-destruction.
“We reiterate that the stated policy of the ODM party is that of non-interference in internal workings of other political parties,” he said.
Sifuna was reacting to claims by Lugari MP, Ayub Savula, that he was approached by some ODM members to dislodge Mudavadi from the helm of ANC.
But Sifuna challenged Savula to make public the names of the officials who approached him to remove the party leader.
“We challenge Savula to reveal the senior official of ODM he alleges approached him with the coup plot,” he said.
Sifuna tore into Mudavadi saying that the former Deputy Prime Minister is on a round the clock coup plot against himself.
“Musalia Mudavadi is a one gear lorry hurtling down a hill unaided, on a long term self-destruct mode that has never needed the assistance of Raila to crush into oblivion,” he said.
