Tuesday June 2, 2020 – Nominated Jubilee MP, David Ole Sankok, was bribed by President Uhuru Kenyatta’s mandarins to desert beleaguered William Ruto’s camp at the hour of need.
Sankok, who is nominated on a Jubilee ticket to represent persons living with disabilities, had been associated with Ruto and his 2022 presidential ambitions in a bid to succeed incumbent Uhuru Kenyatta.
“It is true, I have been supporting the DP’s ambitions because he is the only Jubilee leader who had shown interest in vying for the presidency in the year 2022, but I want to say I will support anyone nominated by the party to vie for the seat,” said Sankok.
Sankok allegedly got a visit from Uhuru’s man, nominated MP, Maina Kamanda, at a hotel at Ewaso Nyiro trading center in Narok South sub-county after which he changed his tune.
“Loyalty and respect for the party leader is not negotiable.”
“If our leader calls for a meeting, we have to go without questioning.”
“If I don’t agree with him I will tell him on the face so that we can get an amicable solution,” said Sankok.
Sankok promised to back any post-election agreement entered by the party saying this will go a long way in uniting the nation.
“I will be the first to work with anyone who signs a post-election agreement with our party.
“Before I had only one party leader but now that Kanu has come in, I have two party leaders and two deputies whom I have a duty of respecting,” reiterated Sankok.
It is said that Kamanda delivered Sankok to Gideon Moi.
