Wednesday June 17, 2020 – Wiper Democratic Movement party has finally signed a post-election deal with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee coalition with an aim of strengthening the coalition ahead of the 2022 presidential elections.
According to former State House blogger, Dennis Itumbi, Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper now joins other parties like KANU who had formalised their coalition pacts with Jubilee.
“Wiper Party finally deposits a cooperation agreement with Jubilee Party & KANU.”
“Enter Jubilee Coalition.”
“No more Jubilee Party structure.”
“Jubilee Coalition Presidential Candidate and Running mate, @skmusyoka& @MoiGideon. Kalonzo, ‘I cannot support @RailaOdingaagain’ Itumbi said.
Last month, Kalonzo said Wiper’s National Executive Committee (NEC) gave him a go-ahead to have a political pact with the Jubilee Party.
“National Executive Council of the Wiper Democratic Movement-Kenya, meeting under the leadership of the party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, has today authorised Musyoka to seal a cooperation agreement with Jubilee and Kanu with immediate effect,” Wiper’s NEC said in a statement.
