Monday, June 22, 2020 – A Kenyan economist based in Saudi Arabia has advised President Uhuru Kenyatta to stop engaging in petty politics during this time of coronavirus pandemic.
Coronavirus cases in Kenya continue to surge but President Uhuru Kenyatta is still engaging in politics within Jubilee.
Sharing his thoughts via Twitter immediately after President Uhuru Kenyatta chaired a Jubilee Party Parliamentary Group meeting at Kenyatta International Convention Centre on Monday, Mohamed Welihye urged the President to stop petty politics and start planning on how to resuscitate Kenya’s economy which is already in Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
“All these political shenanigans are a distraction from the real issues.”
“The economy is on its knees & most Kenyans can’t pay their bills as we speak.”
“The earlier the administration focuses on the real issues, the better,”’ Mohamed Welihye said.
Mohamed Welihye is the Chief Advisor to the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA)

Thank you Mohamed. It is true that the country’s economy is dwindling while the BBIs are very ‘busy’ axing individuals who are sober minded and tend to have different political opinions. Their surge is doomed. Let us wait and see!
