Monday, June 15, 2020 – The revelation that four State House staffers have tested positive for the deadly covid19 has drawn out mixed reactions among Kenyans.
This was confirmed in a statement sent to newsrooms on Monday by Spokesperson Kanze Dena.
“During last week’s mass Covid-19 testing held on Thursday, 11th June 2020, four (4) persons were found to have contracted the disease.”
“The infected officers were admitted at the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital in Kiambu County for treatment,” the statement read in part.
At the same time, Kanzeconfirmed that President Kenyatta and his family tested negative for coronavirus.
“State House would like to inform Kenyans that His Excellency the President and the First Family are safe and free from Covid19.”
Netizens have taken to twitter to react to these news with some calling on the President and all the leaders who have been holding meetings in State House to be quarantined just like other Kenyans.
