Wednesday, June 10, 2020 – Former Tusker and Harambee Stars midfielder, Crispin Olando, is currently incarcerated in a US jail after he was arrested for breaching immigration rules.

The 32-year old midfielder was arrested in March 18th and is being held at the Jackson Parish Correctional Centre and has been denied bond.

According to sources, authorities are processing his deportation.

Olando relocated to the so called land of the free and home of the brave in 2013 in search of greener pastures.

However, after several trials with a number of Major League Soccer outfits including, Houston Dynamo and Vancouver Whitecaps, he failed to earn a professional deal.

Before he left for the US, Olando, who is a talented midfielder, played a key role for Tusker in the Kenyan Premier League during the 2012 season when they were crowned champions.

However, he was released by the brewers due to nagging injuries that saw him spend a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Olando was first called up into the Harambee Stars squad in September 2011 for qualifying matches for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

He scored in a warm-up friendly against high school side Kakamega School Boys, then made his competitive debut against Uganda on October 8th, 2011, coming on the in 88th minute.
