Thursday, June 18, 2020 – It is now clear that Coronavirus has reached State House, Nairobi, with official cases rising from 4 on Tuesday to 16 on Wednesday.
According to a senior Health Officer attached to the house on the hill, the number of cases may rise exponentially in the coming days because most of the contacts had not been traced by Wednesday evening.
The infected officers were admitted at the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital in Kiambu County for treatment.
Though State House spokesperson, Kanze Dena, on Tuesday said President Uhuru Kenyatta and the First Family are “safe and free from Covid19”, Wiper Democratic Movement party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, spilled the beans and revealed the health status of the President.
Kalonzo, who spoke outside Jubilee Party Headquarters on Wednesday when he inked a post-election cooperation deal with Jubilee Party and KANU said that the President was not in a position to attend the meeting because he is being quarantined in State House.
“We know His Excellency the President could not attend this event because he is being quarantined at State House, Nairobi,” Kalonzo said.
