Wednesday, June 24, 2020 – Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) arrested five notorious burglars who are thought to be behind a spate of house break-ins in the city.

The suspects who have been identified as Susan Wambui Njoroge, Kennedy Aluoch, Kilibe Justin, Samson Wanjohi and James Mwangi, were arrested on Tuesday following numerous complaints by members of the public.

A tweet from the DCI indicated that the detectives recovered laptops and phones suspected to have been stolen from victims’ houses and several master keys.

According to Nairobi police boss, Philip Ndolo, detectives had been trailing the suspects in the weeks leading to their arrest and promised to make more arrests.

“Wait for more arrests.”

“We shall ensure that all the members of the gang and their accomplices are brought to book,” Mr Ndolo said.

The suspects have been placed in lawful custody awaiting their arraignment in court
