Tuesday June 2, 2020 – Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), George Kinoti, has said that his office has enough evidence to charge Omar Lali with the murder of Keroche Breweries heirless, Tecra Muigai.
In an interview with a local daily, Kinoti said Tecra was killed and his boys are ready to prove that in court.
“We have enough evidence to prove that it was murder,” Kinoti said.
The mystery surrounding Tecra’s death is yet to be solved despite the autopsy revealing that she suffered trauma on the left side of her head after falling down the stairs.
Apparently, the families of Tecra Muigai and Omar Lali, her lover, could not agree on the actual cause of her death with the former insisting that it was intentional.
According to Lali, the events that led to Tecra’s death were accidental.
He says he remembers getting to the luxury apartment they had rented, had dinner, took some vodka and stretched out on the couch.
Further, in an interview with a local media, he indicated that he was woken up by a loud thud only to find out that Tecra had fallen down the stairs and was unconscious.
The family of Tecra has hired renowned laywer, James Orengo, to represent them in court.
