Thursday, June 11, 2020 – Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested three police officers after a viral video showed a woman tied on a motorbike being dragged and whipped in Kuresoi South Sub-County.
Among the officers arrested is Olenguruone Police Station Deputy OCS, David Kiprotich.
Kiprotich and his colleagues sparked outrage after they were caught on camera dragging a woman on the ground while she was tied to a moving motorcycle for allegedly stealing.
The DCI took to twitter to announce that the three cops have been arrested and are in custody as investigations continue.
