Monday, June 15, 2020 – Celebrated Kenyan comedian, Eric Omondi, has for the first time opened up on how he met his former girlfriend and disgraced journalist, Jacque Maribe.
The two kept their relationship under wraps for almost a decade until last year when the former Citizen TV news anchor shared photos of herself and Eric with their child in school and on a holiday.
Speaking in an interview with Pastor Lucy Natasha on YouTube, Eric revealed that they met in 2011.
“That is the question I’m asked most, some Kenyans just want to know about me and Maribe…”
“We met at Radio Africa (in 2011).”
“I was working at Radio Jambo and she was at Kiss TV,” Omondi recalled.
The funny-man went on to describe Maribe, who is facing a murder case with her ex-fiance, Joseph Kuria Irungu, as an attractive, hardworking and responsible woman.
At the same time, the comedian explained what he always looks out for on a first date.
“I wish to date or work with someone with respect.”
“If I am meeting you for the first time, you would watch how you treat strangers and especially waiters or security men.”
“That tells a lot.”
