Friday June 26, 2020 – The much-anticipated alliance between Deputy President William Ruto and ANC Leader, Musalia Mudavadi, is taking shape with various technical teams already being formed to actualize the alliance ahead of 2022 General Elections.
The two leaders are also consolidating their support across the country by recruiting supporters in what is dubbed as the Holy Alliance.
Also on board is Ford-Kenya led by Moses Wetang’ula who is also the Bungoma County Senator.
Ruto’s decision to unveil a parallel office christened Jubilee Asili Centre located on Makindu Road off Riara Road in Nairobi’s Kilimani area is said to be part of a scheme to break away from the mainstream ruling Jubilee Party to form an alliance with Mudavadi and Wetangula.
The decision came after he hosted 20 Jubilee MPs, including those removed from parliamentary committees and leadership for supporting his presidential campaigns and is expected to open up a new battlefront with Uhuru Kenyatta in the tussle for the control of Jubilee Party.
On his part, the ANC leader has already set up his presidential campaign secretariat known as Musalia Mudavadi Centre.
Wetang’ula also has a secretariat.
The new alliance has Narc leader, Martha Karua, on the radar.
