Friday June 26, 2020 – Nyali MP Mohammed Ali aka Moha Jicho Pevu’s allegations against President Uhuru Kenyatta and his family over the ownership of the Mombasa port has infuriated a section of Muslim leaders.
Led by Sheikh Juma Ngao, the Kenya Muslim National Advisory Council gave the Legislator a 48-hour ultimatum to present evidence to back up his damning allegations against the First Family.
“You have named the President’s and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho’s families as beneficiaries in the project without evidence.”
“This is defamation and characterization and we are giving you 48 hours to present your evidence,” Sheikh Ngao noted.
The religious leader further warned the MP to concentrate on developing the Nyali area rather than engaging in murky politics.
“If you continue like this, you will end being a one-term MP.”
“You may have ambitions to run for governor but that is not how you go about it by peddling lies,” he added.
On Wednesday, the Nyali MP namedropped Uhuru’s relatives who are allegedly involved in scandals, but was unable to provide evidence to support his allegations.
