Monday June 22, 2020 – President Uhuru Kenyatta cracked up members of the press minutes on Monday, June 22nd after the conclusion of a Parliamentary Group meeting at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) in which Deputy President William Ruto’s ally, Aden Duale, was relieved of his duties as National Assembly Majority Leader.
In a video that showed the happenings at KICC after the unceremonious ouster of Duale, the Head of State is seen dashing for his motorcade when he is stopped by journalists who then start engaging him on details regarding the meeting that led to the ouster of National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale.
He greets the reporters before proceeding to tell them that a full statement will be issued by his office.
“We want people to live in peace and unity.”
“We shall soon reveal our plans,” stated Uhuru before one reporter asked him for a sneak peek into the plans.
“Stop being cunning,” the Head of State responded amid laughter.
All these happened in the presence of Ruto who remained calm and collected as his people were being fired from right, left and center by the President.
President Uhuru Kenyatta appeared jovial, heartily engaging the reporters after the meeting.
