Monday June 6, 2020 – Nominated MP, Godfrey Osotsi, has claimed that Musalia Mudavadi is no longer Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader after his term expired on Monday last week.
In an interview with a local daily, Osotsi said Mudavadi and all officials of the party are in office illegally because their mandate expired according to the party constitution.
“As it stands, ANC has no party leader and officials.”
“Mudavadi is the immediate former party leader until elections are done.”
“That is a very clear message,” Osotsi said.
Osotsi said when terms for ANC officials expired, the current leadership led by Mudavadi had all the time to hold on to them.
“Instead we have information a fake list of delegates is being prepared for a national delegate’s conference meeting, which is still illegal according to the party constitution as we need to do grassroots elections first,” he said.
