
Wednesday May 20, 2020 – Bungoma Senator, Moses Wetangula’s brother, Tony Waswa, was laid to rest on Tuesday in a ceremony conducted by Ministry of Health officials from the COVID19 response team.
Villagers and other residents of Sirisia were forced to crane their necks over the fence to catch the burial ceremony of Waswa.
At least five priests led the burial that went down on the early morning of Tuesday and lasted less than an hour as the family observed coronavirus health guidelines.
Tony, who passed away at The Aga Khan Hospital, in Nairobi on Friday, May 15th, was the brother of Senator Moses Wetang’ula and Westlands MP, Tim Wanyonyi.
Until his death, the late was an aide to Wanyonyi who has been a lawmaker at the National Assembly since 2013.
