Tuesday May 12, 2020 – Bahati MP, Kimani Ngunjiri, has blasted President Uhuru Kenyatta over recent evictions of thousands of families in Kariobangi, warning him of probable repercussions from the International Criminal Court (ICC).
“This forceful eviction of people from their homes on land that had been legally allocated to them by the government is a crime against humanity and the reason I am reminding the President all the time that ICC is watching,” he warned.
“Many people including children have been exposed to conditions that make them very vulnerable to Covid-19.”
“Any loss of life arising from this, the President will be personally liable and not CS Fred Matiang’i and PS Karanja Kibicho.”
“We are aware that these two are abusing their offices and are busy amassing wealth,” he alleged.
The Bahati MP then urged the President to reconsider his current stand before it was too late, adding that since they put him in power, they still stood firmly behind him if he rectified his ‘wayward’ ways.
He claimed that the end was fast approaching and that the President will regret being misled by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Francis Atwoli to abandon his own house.
“I advise that he should stay where he belongs.”
“We campaigned for you the President, we voted for you, we are for you,” Ngunjiri stated.
