Thursday, May 14, 2020 – Former State House blogger, Dennis Itumbi, has joined an army of delinquents who are abusing President Uhuru Kenyatta after he made changes to the Senate leadership on Monday.
During the much publicized Jubilee Party Parliamentary Group meeting at State House, only 20 Senators attended the meeting while 23 skipped the meeting.
Five of the 23 who skipped the rally are nominated Senators and have been expelled from the party for failing to honour summons by President Uhuru Kenyatta who is the party leader.
The nominated senators include Falhada Dekow Iman, Naomi Jillo Waqo, Victor Prengei, Mary Seneta Yiane and Millicent Omanga
Jubilee Party Secretary-General, Raphael Tuju, said on Wednesday that the five were expelled for ‘gross insubordination and misconduct’.
“They received messages and did not even bother to send apologies for not attending the meeting,” he said.
Following their expulsion, Itumbi has mocked the President saying it is all nonsense.
“EVEN if you succeed to REMOVE Nominated Senators on the NONSENSICAL grounds so disclosed, you do not have the luxury to bring whoever you want. The Constitution & the Law has already made that decision. Your alternative is already on a list GAZZETTED long before elections,” Itumbi said.
