Tuesday May 5, 2020 – Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko, went biblical on Tuesday and said that those who are frustrating him might have the army to finish him but God is on his side.
Ever since he handed over some key functions to the national Government, Sonko has appeared to hint at being frustrated by high ranking State officials.
“They have the army, the police & Gov’t Agencies to intimidate me but I have God & His people as my only Shield & Saviour”
“May your will be done.”
“May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, & the love of God, & the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all now & forevermore,” wrote Sonko.
This comes just a week after he described some leaders as drunk with power.
In a rant he posted on Twitter, Sonko hit out at leaders who sit at Harambee House, although he did not mention any names.
“I have a message to some of my friends at Harambee House who are drunk with power.”
“Power comes, power goes, power is temporary and transient but the will of the people, and the will of God, is eternal,” he wrote.
Sonko was said to referring to Interior Principal Secretary, Karanja Kibicho, who is the leader of cartels frustrating him at City Hall.
