Tuesday, May 12, 2020 – The Coronavirus death toll in Kenya has risen to 36 after three people succumbed to the deadly virus in Mombasa.
Speaking during the daily briefs on the Covid-19 situation in the country, Health CAS Dr. Rashid Aman, revealed that two died at home while one died in hospital
On the same vein, 15 new cases – 14 Kenyans and one Rwandese – of the Covid-19have been confirmed in the past 24 hours bringing the total number of persons infected with the disease in the country to 715.
Dr. Aman also disclosed that the new Covid19 patients are aged between one year and 62 years.
On gender, ten of the new cases are female while five are male.
The new cases are from Mombasa (7), Migori (3), Wajir (2), Nairobi (1), Machakos (1), and Kiambu (1).
On the bright side, 8 people were discharged bringing the number of recoveries to 259.
