SHOCK as it emerges that guards who were manning Equity Bank Eastleigh branch where a staff tested positive for COVID were transferred to other work stations without being tested.

Saturday, 09 May 2020 – Equity Bank Eastleigh branch was closed after a staff member tested positive for the dreaded corona virus and immediately it was established that a case had been reported at the bank, the bank’s employees including cleaners were given 14 days to go into self quarantine.

However, it’s worrying to find out that G4S guards who were manning the bank were transferred to other work stations instead of being sent into self quarantine like Equity Bank staff.

One of the guards is working at the bank’s branch in Gikomba after the Eastleigh branch was closed instead of going into self-quarantine.

This poses great danger because the guards who were manning the bank’s Eastleigh branch may have also contradicted the virus in the line of duty.
