Tuesday May 12, 2020 – Kikuyu MP, Kimani Ichung’wa, has also weighed in on the arbitrary sacking of Senate Majority Leader, Kipchumba Murkomen, and other allies of Deputy President William Ruto.
Speaking yesterday, Ichung’wa blasted President Uhuru Kenyatta, alleging that he had misplaced priorities.
He argued that the main focus at such a time was tackling the Coronavirus pandemic, the floods and help the poor in the country and not to focus on fighting Ruto and his loyalists.
He termed the sacking of Murkomen and Susan Kihika from the Senate leadership as choreographed to divert Kenyans’ attention from Uhuru’s many failures.
“Over 200 Kenyans have perished in floods, Covid-19 is at 30 with hundreds infected.”
“The humanitarian and economic crisis during and post-Covid-19 will be catastrophic especially for the poor.”
“Already thousands have lost jobs, millions have no food, their livelihoods threatened. Meanwhile, the focus is on?” he posed.
