Wednesday May 13, 2020 – Suna East MP, Junet Mohamed, has predicted a bruising political battle ahead of 2022, warning Deputy President William Ruto to prepare for war.
Speaking yesterday, Junet hinted at new political formations among perceived enemies and friends in the build up to 2022 General Elections.
According to Junet, Kenya’s political landscape was likely to change significantly with new alliances as parties sought to reposition themselves for the 2022 equation.
The National Assembly Minority Whip sneered at members of the Tanga Tanga wing of the Jubilee Party for opposing an alliance with the independence party KANU.
“Why is Tanga Tanga opposing KANU-Jubilee coalition?”
“New coalitions and alliances are just about to start.”
“This is the problem of living in denial.”
“You get stuck in a past that no longer exists.”
“Things have changed. Kenya has changed. Siasa bado,” he said.
Jubilee and KANU inked a post-election pact on Thursday, May 7th, bringing together politicians allied to President Uhuru Kenyatta and those from Gideon Moi’s KANU side.
