Thursday May 28, 2020 – National Super Alliance (NASA) has finally de-whipped a section of perceived rebel Members of Parliament (MPs) from National Assembly committees.

Addressing the press on Thursday, National Assembly Minority Whip, Junet Mohamed, said that the party resolved to recall Malindi MP, Aisha Jumwa, as its representative to the Parliamentary Service Commission.

Junet, who is also the Suna East MP, said Jumwa’s position will be taken by Likoni MP, Mishi Mboko.

The party also removed Kiminini MP, Chris Wamalwa, as Minority Deputy Whip.

Ford Kenya Secretary General, Eseli Simiyu, replaces Wamalwa in the new changes announced by Junet.

“Party position and privileges must all times serve the party,” Junet said

Wamalwa is fighting accusations of loyalty to Deputy President William Ruto and has lost the confidence of opposition coalition, National Super Alliance.

Other MPs removed from their positions included Sylvanus Osoro (South Mugirango), Nakara Lodepe (Turkana Central), Catherine Wambilianga (Bungoma Woman Rep.), Tindi Mwale (Butere), Vincent Kemosi (West Mugirango) and Gideon Ochanda (Bondo).
