Wednesday, 06 May 2020 – Controversial Pastor James Maina Ng’ang’a, the founder of Neno Evangelism Centre, has banned members who are not sending offering through Mpesa as instructed from attending his church when the corona virus pandemic ends.
Ng’ang’a said that he is keeping records of members who are adhering to the church’s directive of sending at least Ksh 1,000 via Mpesa as Sunday offering.
The controversial pastor, who recently bragged that he has other businesses that give him money apart from tithes and offerings, has instructed his members to be sending offering through Mpesa on Sunday and Ksh 1,000 is the minimum amount of money that each member who is registered in his church is supposed to send.
Ng’ang’a warned members who are not sending the offering that they will be kicked out after the corona pandemic ends.
Speaking through a live stream, Ng’ang’a said that the church has bills to pay and so members should support God’s work even during the coronavirus pandemic.
The controversial pastor runs an expansive church along Haile Selassie Avenue and thousands of Kenyans have registered as members.
