Wednesday May 27, 2020 – Former Gatanga MP, David Murathe, has given the strongest hint about the man that President Uhuru Kenyatta will endorse as his successor once his tenure ends in 2022.
Appearing on Inooro TV on Monday, Murathe, who is the immediate former Jubilee Party Vice Chairman, said Uhuru will surprise many in 2022 when his 10 year tenure ends.
Quoting famous Kikuyu community prophet, Mugo wa Kibiru, Murathe, who was speaking in Kikuyu said Mugo prophesied that Kikuyus will lead the country forever.
“Kikuyus have numbers and no one can be elected without our support.”
“Moi ruled because Kikuyu community did not speak in one voice and was divided,” Murathe stated.
“We have numbers and our leader may decide we support one of us in 2022.”
“That would be in line with Mugo wa Kibiru prophecy,” Murathe added.
This is a big blow to ODM party leader, Raila Odinga, and Deputy President William Ruto who were hoping that the President will endorse them for the top seat in 2022.
