Wednesday, May 6, 2020 – Celebrated Kenyan rapper, Henry Ohanga, who is popularly known as Octopizzo, has vowed to campaign for the legalization of Marijuana in Kenya through his music.
The Kibera born and bred rapper says he will devote a line (lyrics) talking about Marijuana in his songs until the day it will be decriminalized.
Taking to twitter, Octopizzo wrote:
“From Now hence forth every song will have a weed aka marijuana Line till the day it’s gonna be legalized.
“Don’t @ me if you don’t understand why. #VelaNiWife #Legalize #Che”
The talented rapper has been vocal in calling for the legalization of weed on grounds that it is medicinal.
He also worked with the late Kibra MP, Ken Okoth, who had tabled a motion in Parliament seeking the legalization of weed but unfortunately succumbed to cancer before realizing his dream.
The cultivation, sale, and possession of cannabis for recreational purposes is illegal in Kenya.
