Friday, May 15, 2020 – Muranga Women Representative, Sabina Chege, has told Deputy President William Ruto to ditch Jubilee Party if he is uncomfortable with how President Uhuru Kenyatta is punishing party rebels.
Speaking in a function in Muranga on Thursday, Chege also told Ruto and his orphans to understand that the President is a symbol of national unity and warned them against disrespecting him.
”We cannot sit & watch.”
“I respect DP Ruto but if he does not change and respect our president as a symbol of national unity, we shall deal with him kwa ground so that he comes back to his senses,” Sabina stated.
Sabina Chege spoke two days after Elgeyo Marakwet Senator, Kipchumba Murkomen, and Nakuru Senator, Susan Kihika, were axed from the Senate seats.
Murkomen was axed as the Majority Leader in the Senate while Kihika was sacked as Majority Chief Whip.
Murkomen was replaced by West Pokot Senator, Samuel Poghisio, and Kihika was replaced by Muranga Senator, Irungu Kangata.
Murkomen and Kihika were close confidantes of Dr William Ruto.
