Monday, May 11, 2020 – There was drama at an apartment along Kiambu Road on Saturday after a man who was hosting a house bash during curfew hours engaged police officers in a two-hour shoot out.
The police were alerted that there was a party going on during curfew hours and when they attempted to break up the bash, they were repelled by the gun-toting owner of the house.
The man, whose identity has not been revealed, is said to have opened fire and shot over ten rounds from the window of his house at Coral Bell Apartments in Thindigua as other tenants watched the drama from their balconies.
“We had a hard time trying to disarm the rowdy man who reportedly fired at us at least 16 times.”
“When officers arrived, they found a man firing a gun from his window,” said the police.
Eventually, he was disarmed and taken to Kiambu Police Station.
